JEDCline's Online Photos for Friends and Family: Visit with Paul's family, Nov. 2004
BACKGROUND: This album shows some photos taken during my trip to visit Paul and his family in the Seattle, WA, area. The ride on the AMTRAK Coast Starlight passenger train from Los Angeles to Seattle provided some beautiful coastline and forest mountain views, although the dim overcast light pushed limits of my camera as taken from a fast moving train. At Paul's, lots of good food, lots to do; weather is mild right now.

The Coast Starlight train got some fine views of the coastline, despite it being overcast that day.

I was in the the last coach train car, so looking out its rear window, snapping a photo just as the train exited one of the tunnels in mountain spectacular railway path, shows tunnel opening we had just exited. The photo has an interesting quality to it.
Still lacking a woman's companionship, to get myself into the picture, I took this self-photo of myself and window view, note reflection in window superimposed over trees outside.
Despite the dim overcast light, and the fast train, my HP320 camera was able to get this photo of mountain river in Pacific Northwest, Oregon.
Gregory has breakfast in the morning after my arrival. He delights in seeing his photo on my camera.
It is raining this morning, but only under the tall trees; moisture was condensed from the air, and the ground is dry in the spaces between the trees. Rainforest mechanism.

In the evening, after return from where paul works in town, we proceed with ongoing car repairing; this is one of 4 engines in pieces here.
Fine meals here for hard-working people; I will have to go back on severe diet when I return, but for now it is pig-out-time.
My HP320 camera gets me into dinner photo too.
Dinner time.. Paul is building this house so is ever in construction somewhere.
It is not always easy to find something flat upon which to set the camera for a self-photo.

The used bicycle I bought near Paul's, then partially apart in a bicycle box while on the train, is back together again in my kitchen. I look forward to bicycling again, although this area has little that is not steep up or down.
