Here are some photos through time of myself, James E. D. Cline (Jim)
This is the photos my mother had taken of me to show the odd quirk of me looking away and up whenever asked a question, when I was trying to figure out what the answer was. It is now known as an "Aspie" train, seeking mental space away from a face, so as to think.
The above front and back photo, is of me, JEDCline, in 1944 ... we lived in Tucson, Oakland, and San Francisco that year, I think, so I don't know where this photo was taken, of me pretending to look tough. Actually, getting bitten all over by big red ants, and having some 200 Cholla Cactus thorns pulled out of me, was enough toughening up, from my adventures out in our Tucson backyard that was the primitive desert at the time. The anthills were great places to collect the red garnet grains. And I learned the hard way that the Cholla cactus can indeed jump half a foot to latch a cactus segment onto a person, or it seemed to do so at the slightest touch when passing by.
The above photo front and back is of me and the oleanders near our home, probably in Avondale/coldwater/Litchfield park, near Phoenix AZ, in 1947.
