The encouraging potentials of the scenarios made possible by
the dynamically-supported space elevator concepts seems to
have not yet reached the public's awareness. Would the
following ad help?
HELP WANTED: six billion people (peaceful, harmonious,
mutually supportive, constructively productive,
technologically creative, scientifically competent,
ecologically conscious individuals) to conceptualize,
design, engineer, build, own and operate first
Geosynchronous Earth Orbit (GEO) space settlement ring.
First task is to create GEO Umbilicals (electromagnetically
accellerated kinetic-energy supported transportation
structures) from each nation to its nearest point on GEO,
and build there an initial 10,000-person Stanford Torus for
each nation. Next step from there is to build the
hunter-gatherer spacecraft to go get asteroids for elements
missing from the Moon, and create a major materials delivery
system from the Moon to GEO to build the rest of the
1,475,000 Stanford Torus's to complete the first GEO Habitat
Ring.
Starting pay: none. Payoff: to have participated in
providing a place for human civilization to flourish and
expand enormously while preserving Earth's precious
ecological system...and to have some choice territory in the
GEO Habitat Ring for yourself and your family to live and
grow.
